What is the difference between cleaning and descaling?
The cleaning capsule and Eco descaler each have an individual purpose.
The cleaning capsule targets the front part of your machine, removing old coffee oil and residue out of the brewing chamber.
With the descaler working on the back parts of your capsule machine, removing limescale and calcium deposits from your machine’s internal components, such as the heating element and pipes.

COMPOSTABILITY
TUV Certified (EN13432). The OK Compost certification means the capsule can be industrially composted, breaking down at temperatures of 60° and over. The process of industrial composting requires a mix of heat, aeration, moisture, micro-organisms and regulated pH levels to allow the capsule to break down. Please check your local council for their organic waste regulations.

Cleaning your machine couldn’t be simpler. Flush out old coffee residue, oil, and bacteria build-up with total ease, at the press of a button.
Insert capsule, close machine
Press Espresso button to brew.
Wait 1 minute.
Press Lungo button to brew again.
Remove the capsule
Eject and dispose of the cleaning capsule.
Close machine
Press Lungo button twice to rinse.
Discard solution.
